expired prior to filing you are
legally present in the United

renewed whilst present in the

Visa stamp in your passport, a
trip out of the country to a U.S
Embassy ( usually the one in
your resident country, but with
some exceptions ) will be
necessary for you to obtain a
visa in your passport. Having a
