There are many ways to enter the country on a non immigrant
visa. For example someone could enter the United States on a B
Visa, then whilst here decide to buy a business, they can petition
for a Non immigrant worker status that could change the status
from one category to another and therefore allowing them to
remain in the country under that status. However this would make
the visa used to enter the country null and void and should the
person leave the United States, they would have to attend the
U.S. Embassy and apply for a visa stamp to be placed in their
passport in order for them to enter the country again but this time
under the new category. Alternatively they could remain in the
United states with legal status to do so.
Common changes of status are: B1 / B2 to E2 / L1 & E2 to L1.  Also
Non Immigrant to Immigrant ( Green card ) for example L1 to Eb-1
(Green Card ) Executive or Manager. We have been successful in
